Documented hygiene for hotels, clinics, and shared-use facilities
For a clean environment. For healthy people. Worldwide.
FIVE STEPS TO PROVABLE HYGIENE
Analysis — Knowing what matters
Cleaning — Thorough. Efficient. Safe.
Prevention — Regular. Sustainable. Effective.
Documentation — Traceable. Transparent.
Certification — Confirmed. Trust-building.
THE PROBLEM: HIDDEN CONTAMINATION IN TEXTILE CONTACT SURFACES
Over time, mattresses, pillows, and other textile contact surfaces accumulate hidden contamination: dust mites, skin flakes, allergens, bacteria, mould spores, fibres, hair, pollen, and other organic residues. These are not visible to the naked eye, yet they directly affect hygiene, wellbeing, and health.
We regularly sample mattresses, pillows, and other textile contact surfaces. The results clearly show: much of this contamination reaches the body through skin contact or the respiratory tract, and can burden the immune system and promote allergies.
A real-world case shows just how relevant this risk is: In August 2025, a ward at the Bethlehem Health Centre in Stolberg, Germany, had to close temporarily following a scabies outbreak. 13 staff members were affected and placed on precautionary leave; the ward had to close temporarily due to staff shortages as a result.

YOUR RESPONSIBILITY AS AN OPERATOR
As the operator of a hotel, clinic, care home, or comparable facility, you are responsible for appropriate hygiene and prevention measures in the areas used by guests, patients, and residents. This includes incorporating textile contact surfaces into a traceable hygiene concept.
We do not change existing textile hygiene practices — we raise the hygiene level of textiles that cannot be washed, or can only be washed with difficulty, to the highest possible standard, optimizing protection against the health risks these textiles can pose.
"After more than 20 years of practical experience in textile hygiene, I am convinced: guests and facilities need more transparency about how textile hygiene is monitored and documented. Visible, traceable prevention builds trust — regardless of a property's category."

THE THMS® INFECTION PREVENTION PROGRAM
1. Sampling & Analysis
Standardized sample collection from mattresses, pillows, and other textile contact surfaces using the THMS® 30-second method, followed by microbiological examination.
2. Basic Hygiene Treatment
Complete treatment of mattresses, pillows, bed linens, and textile contact surfaces using high-performance microfiltration systems. Goal: reduction of dust and particle contamination, microbiological contamination, and allergens.
3. Parasitol® Application
Ongoing preventive treatment carried out by trained facility staff following completion of the basic hygiene treatment.
4. Repeat Interval
